Dr. V V N Ravi Kishore’s research work is interdisciplinary in nature and lies at the interface of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. His expertise is in the field of Physical Chemistry, more specifically in time resolved fluorescence spectroscopy at picosecond resolution, photophysical studies on various organic molecules and OLED fabrication as reflected in many of his publications.
He graduated from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, in 1996 with a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry. He then pursued his Master’s in Chemistry at the same University before going on to complete his doctoral degree from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai in 2004. His doctoral thesis titled, Photoluminescence and Electroluminescence in Hydroxyquinoline Based Organic Semiconductors, is interdisciplinary between Chemistry and Physics.
After his postdoctoral stint in Catholic University, Leuven, Belgium and a brief time in industry, he joined D Y Patil University, Navi Mumbai in 2010. After working there for ten years, he joined his alma mater, Sri Satya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, in 2018.
He happens to be among the 20 students selected across the country by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, to represent India at The Meeting of Noble Laureates and Students held at Lindau, Germany, in 2004 and also to visit premier German Research Institutions.
