Dr. Shalini specializes in bio-based self-healing coatings, with her expertise reflected in numerous publications in international journals and conferences. She earned her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Chemistry from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, and completed her doctoral studies at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. Following her Ph.D., she worked as a Project Scientist in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi.
Dr. Shalini is currently working as Assistant Professor with the Department of Chemistry, SSSIHL.

Research Interests
Synthesis of novel polymeric materials, bio-based self-healing coatings and self-healing nano-composites, flame retardant waterborne polyurethane coatings, synthesis of reversible thermosets, recycling and upcycling of polymer wastes.
