L K Prasad Rayaprolu has an MBA from SSSIHL (2008-10) and over ten years of professional experience across the areas of IT Enabled Services and academics. Prior to his MBA, Prasad was working as a software engineer for two-a–half years at Infosys, Bangalore in the domain of Retail industry on the Unix platform. After his MBA, he joined RuralShores to understand the challenges and opportunities tied up with rural development. In the following three years, he was responsible for many successful trial/live project deliveries and also led an entire branch and its operations in a remote village.
In June, 2013 he joined SSSIHL and has since been involved in successfully handling many subjects. Taking cues from his industry experience, he combines programming with lab subjects, which is very beneficial to the students when they graduate. His industrial experience helps him communicate concepts in a better manner, especially in subjects like MIS, OB, Business Communication, etc.
Although he switched to academics, he is still in touch with rural development concepts through teaching it to B.B.A. students. He believes that entrepreneurship is going to be the key for rural development and is currently pursuing his doctoral research in the area of Rural Entrepreneurship.
