Dr. Subbarao Kanchi completed his B.Sc. 2005, B.Ed. 2007 and M.Sc. Physics in 2009 from the Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, India. He received his Ph.D. in March 2018 on the topic “Dendrimer Interactions with Cell Membrane and Pore Forming Toxins.” from the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India. After his Ph.D. thesis submission, he worked as a Research Associate on the project “Contact Angle Measurements for a Solid-Liquid-Vapor Interface.” at the department of Chemical Engineering, IISc, Bangalore, India, from May 2017 to Sept. 2018.
Later, He joined as an Assistant Professor in the department of physics of the Prasanthi Nilayam Campus, at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) in Sept. 2018. Under the faculty improvement program, He went for a two-year (from Oct 2018 to Sept 2020) sabbatical to the Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), USA. During his sabbatical, he worked on the project “Effect of Curvature on Graphene-Water Interface and Bio-Molecules Interactions.” After his sabbatical, he rejoined the department of physics, SSSIHL, and started teaching master students along with pursuing his research career since September 2020.
