Dr. A Sumana is actively involved in research work apart from her full-time teaching duties. She graduated from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in 1999 with a B.Sc. degree.in Home Science. She graduated in her masters in Food Science and Nutrition from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in 2001. She then cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lectureship and joined Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in 2001. She went on to complete her Doctorate degree in 2017 from Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
