DESCRIPTION
We seek an Assistant Professor in History who will teach courses including Ancient India, Medieval India, Modern India, Ancient Societies of Egypt, Mesopotamia, and China. Additionally, the candidate should develop and deliver multi-disciplinary and value-added courses in History.
Beyond academic duties, the Assistant Professor will play a pivotal role in engaging students through extracurricular activities, aligning with our commitment to the Sri Sathya Sai System of values-based integral education.
REQUIREMENTS *
- A Ph.D. in History
- Must have a relevant and valid NET/SLET/SET qualification
- Must hold an M.A. in History at the Master’s level and a Bachelor’s degree in Arts with a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) for both degrees
- Candidates with teaching experience at the University level will be preferred
- Must have a proven track record of high-quality research and publications in peer-reviewed (UGC-CARE preferred) journals
- Proficiency in English is necessary to communicate with students effectively
- Appreciation and willingness to live a disciplined life as per the code of conduct of the University, based on the basic human values as enunciated by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is essential
