A poster paper titled “Impact of onion-based interventions on biomarkers of diabetes and its complications in diabetic rats- A systematic review” by Prof. N. Srividya, Dept. of Food and Nutritional Sciences, SSSIHL, and her research team consisting of Ms. Mounika Pandey, Ms. Manogna Pathri and Dr. Satyanarayana Labani was selected by the International Diabetes Federation, Belgium for the IDF World Diabetes Virtual Congress 2023. Themed “Diabetes complications and diabetes in crisis” the congress was held from 4th-7th December 2023.
The paper will feature in the e-poster gallery for 90 days after the IDF virtual congress and the abstract of the paper will be published in the April 2024 issue of their official online journal “Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice-DRCP” (A Scopus & WoS indexed journal with a cite score of 10.5).

The IDF Virtual Congress 2023 featured three dedicated streams offering the latest scientific advances in the management and prevention of diabetes complications. A fourth stream focussed on the impact of natural and man-made disasters on people living with diabetes and the long-term effects of Covid-19.
