Prof. Pallav Kumar Baruah completed his PUC from Cotton College Guwahati Assam, after which he joined Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning for his bachelors and masters programmes. He also completed his Ph.D. in Mathematics, in the area of Differential Equation and Analysis at SSSIHL in 1994 and has been at the Institute ever since. He has held various positions at department, including Head of Department.
He was awarded the Innovation Award, 2014 by NVIDIA, HiPC Goa. He has won a number of awards in various National and International Forum for best paper and posters. Currently, he is the Dean of Sciences, SSSIHL.
