The Department of Languages and Literature – English, at SSSIHL is hosting the fifth edition of its flagship event, Lit-Treat, a two-day National Conference on “Language, Literature, and Beyond: Exploring New Frontiers in English Studies”, on 14 & 15th March 2025 at Prasanthi Nilayam.
About the Conference
The field of English Studies is evolving rapidly, with traditional boundaries of language and literature being redefined by emerging theoretical frameworks, interdisciplinary methodologies, and digital innovations. These changes open up new possibilities for exploring the complexities of human experience and creativity.
In this dynamic academic landscape, Lit-Treat: Edition V aims to provide a vibrant platform for postgraduate students and research scholars to:
– Engage with the latest developments in the discipline
– Share insights and research findings
– Contribute to discussions shaping the future of English Studies
Publication Opportunity: Organized in collaboration with Literary Voice, an international peer-reviewed journal of English studies indexed in the Web of Science, selected papers will be published in the journal.
The event will feature plenary talks by eminent academicians & writers. This includes:

– Prof. Jibu Mathew George, Professor of English Literature, The English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad
