Associate Professor M. S. Sai Vinod and Professor N. Sivakumar, from the Department of Management and Commerce, won the Best Paper award at the “14th International Research Conference on Thriving Through Sustainability” organized by IES’s Management College and Research Centre on 22nd & 23rd February 2024.
The paper titled “The Impact of Top Management Views on Environment-related Sustainable Development Goals on the Practice of Environmental Responsibility as Part of CSR” analyzed the influence of top management views on environmental Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) expenditure within the context of NIFTY-indexed companies in India using an empirical approach that incorporated text analytics, cosine similarity measures, regression and correlation analysis, and mediation-moderation analysis.
Hosted by the Indian Education Society’s Management College and Research Centre, Mumbai, with joint partners Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi, European Global Varsity, European School of Data Science & Technology, and Confab 360 Degree, the Conference explored how businesses can navigate towards a sustainable future with emerging technologies like AI, ChatGPT, and Generative AI on six key themes – Marketing, Operations & IT, Finance, Human Resources, Economic & Business Environment, and Entrepreneurship.
