The Centre for Excellence in Mathematical Biology (CEMB) at Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning is hosting a Popular Science Talk Series (online) from February 2025 to October 2025.
Organized as part of the Birth Centenary Celebrations of our Founder Chancellor Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, this series will delve into the theme “Mathematical Ecology and Epidemiology, Data Analytics, Biology & Bioinformatics, and Food & Nutritional Science” in collaboration with the Indian Society for Mathematical Modeling and Computer Simulation (ISMMACS) and the Departments of: Mathematics and Computer Science (DMACS), Biosciences (DBIO) and Food & Nutritional Sciences (DFNS) of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL).
Scheduled for the first Saturday of each month, the series will see domain experts from prestigious institutions explore the topics from the above theme and share their insights into the role of mathematics in addressing real-world challenges and advancing scientific innovation.
Who can attend? Undergraduate/postgraduate students, Ph.D., and post-doctoral students, faculty, and industry professionals may register for the series.
CEMB at SSSIHL is dedicated to driving mathematical innovation for societal well-being. By leveraging mathematical modeling and analysis, the center seeks to develop practical solutions to address real-world challenges, advancing science for the betterment of humanity.
