Graduating from the Regional Institute of Education, Mysore (NCERT), the erstwhile Regional College of Education, Mysore with a B.Sc. Ed. degree, she received her Masters degree in Chemistry (M.Sc. Ed.) from the same Institute in the year 1992. Following this, she joined Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning as a faculty member at the Dept. of Chemistry where she is currently serving as the Head of the Department, Anantapur Campus.
During the course of her teaching, she worked for her doctoral research and earned the doctoral degree in the year 2010 from SSSIHL.
