Prof. C N Sundaresan is an expert in the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds. He has, in both interdisciplinary and cross-disciplinary domains, published several papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He has over 37 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level and 18 years at the postgraduate level. He is a very active synthetic organic chemist who has visited over twelve prestigious Universities in Europe, the UK, Australia, and Japan.
He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Physical Chemistry) degrees from Bangalore University in 1980 and 1982 respectively, and his Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry under the guidance of Prof. N R Krishnaswamy from Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher learning in 1988. He was in charge of the Chemistry Instrumentation Centre at SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam until 1991.
