The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Prasanthi Nilayam Campus is organizing a National Workshop on “Indian Financial System: Prospects and Challenges” on the 24 August 2024 at the Prasanthi Nilayam Campus, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning. The distinguished speakers at the workshop are:

• Shri Venkat Bhargav Sreedhara, Financial Sector specialist at the World Bank
• Shri Sundar Murthi, Chief General Manager-in-Charge, Department of External Investments and Operations, RBI
• Shri S K Rajashekhar, Senior Portfolio Manager, Department of External Investments and Operations, RBI
• Shri Sanjay Sahni, Associate Professor, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning

The speakers will dwell on the Indian financial markets, recent developments in the sector and way forward, interlinkages of financial markets, and the impact of global developments on Indian markets and Ethics and the world of finance.

This workshop aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the Indian financial system. It seeks to raise awareness of the significant shifts and ongoing changes in the sector, offering insights into its complexities and the current landscape. The workshop is designed to inspire participants to consider thoughtful policy implications and contribute to shaping the future of India’s financial destiny.
