A Two-Day Skill Development Workshop on Optical Designing Using Zemax OpticStudio® was organized by the Department of Physics on the 22nd and 23rd March 2024 at the Anantapur Campus.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Vandana Sharma, Associate Professor, IIT Hyderabad along with her students Ms. Haritha Nair and Ms. Angita Sanjeevan. While primarily targeted at third-year B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics students, the sessions also welcomed students from first and second-year batches.
The workshop offered hands-on training on Zemax OpticStudio®, providing participants with invaluable practical insights into optical design. Through interactive sessions and real-world exercises, attendees delved into the nuances of optical design, gaining essential skills and knowledge crucial for both academic and industrial endeavors. By harnessing the capabilities of Zemax OpticStudio®, participants explored diverse aspects of the subject, unveiling potential career opportunities in optics and photonics.
Under the coordination of Associate Professor Dr. C. Prathibha and Assistant Professor Dr. Lavanya Rathi P., the workshop facilitated a dynamic learning environment conducive to skill enhancement and career exploration.
