| The Chemistry Department, across all campuses, has modern and well-equipped Laboratory facilities such as the Instrumentation Lab, Organic Chemistry Lab, Water Analysis Lab and Computer Lab. It also has preparation rooms and store rooms as well as many books and back volumes of several journals in its Department libraries available to all students and faculty. |

| Organic Chemistry Lab:The lab houses the latest semi-micro synthetic glassware and centrifuges and minor equipments like heating mantles and ovens. |

| Inorganic Chemistry Lab: Equipped with sensitive Mettler balances and Microwave Oven. |

| Physical Chemistry Lab:Equipped with modern glass electrodes and Fluoride Electrode. |
|
| Natural Products Lab: Equipped with column chromatographic columns and preparative TLC plates. |
|
| Water Analysis Lab: Equipped with digital pH electrodes and Millipore Water purifier. |
|
| Computers in the Chemistry Lab: Equipped with high speed computing systems with Licensed Chemistry software programmes like Gaussian and GassView. |

Facilities Upgraded during Academic Year 2011/12

| A Molecular Bioprocessing Lab (MBL) was established at the Department. Additionally, the following items – that are part of this facility – were procured: Autoclave, Incubator-Shaker, Biological Microscope with imaging system, Refrigerator, Electronic weighing balance, pH meter and Metrohm Prof IC Auto sampler Model 863. |
